A War for US, Fought by Them

Our leaders' lack of personal investment in the Iraq war -- in terms of family members fighting there, as Broyles points out -- contrasts tellingly with the financial investments of companies like Halliburton, of which Cheney was of course CEO. Fuzzy Math

A Blogospheric Ping

The first posting on a blog seems like it ought to be the occasion for some sort of digital éclat. But in the relatively short time they've been around, blogs have become ubiquitous and the medium seems, well, simply too minor to make much noise. (I suppose some would disagree -- look what Howard Dean's blog got him, or didn't get him, and look at the blogospheric noise produced by the likes of Gawker.) So, this will have to do for now. No big bang. Not much to notice, except the very unpublic sounds of my own key-strokes, thinking, and breathing.
